Zmö Hërot Ner (/zmo˞/ /ˈhɛrot/ [teal] [pig; pork]) is a subtropical Small Town located in the I̽lökri̽ Moot of the Viceroyalty of Rosid.

The name Zmö Hërot Ner is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Zmö Hërot Ner was founded by Grêlêj Ezaenzo, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Zmö Hërot Ner has a yearly average temperature of 18°C (64°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 30°C (86°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 7°C (44°F). Zmö Hërot Ner receives an average of 151 cm/y (59 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Zmö Hërot Ner covers an area of nearly 3 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 2698 m (8851 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Zmö Hërot Ner was founded durring the early 9th century, by Grêlêj Ezaenzo. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Zmö Hërot Ner was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 9th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Zmö Hërot Ner is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Zmö Hërot Ner is buildings are arranged within a network of spacious cobblestone streets which form a rectangular grid, where each block verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller block has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town is protected by a renforced stone fence which sits atop earthwork defences, for some of the best inexpencive defences a town of Zmö Hërot Ner's size could have. The well-designed, yet cheep has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.

Zmö Hërot Ner is, in a word, disorder. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes. Yet there are small elements here and there which show the underlying structure of the community. It’s just so complex, organic, and flowing one can only understand what is a piece of the puzzle, but not what its neighbors are.

Zmö Hërot Ner has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Zmö Hërot Ner.

Zmö Hërot Ner has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Zmö Hërot Ner has a Department of Firefighters, which is responsible for organizing fire fighting efforts during a fire and enforcing local ordinances relating to fire safety.

Zmö Hërot Ner has a Hall of Slayers, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Zmö Hërot Ner has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Zmö Hërot Ner's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Zmö Hërot Ner has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Zmö Hërot Ner has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Zmö Hërot Ner is led by one or more incompetents. While they must have been very good at something to have acquired the position, they are fundamentally incapable of leading. Uncontrolled passions or lusts, commitment to a hopelessly impractical ideal, pigheaded obstinacy in the face of failure, a total lack of charisma or interpersonal skills, or profound laziness might all unfit them for their post.

Zmö Hërot Ner's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used which employed abundant symbolic geometry, using pure forms such as the circle and square, and plans are based on often symmetrical layouts featuring rectangular courtyards and halls. These structures were is decorated with carved stone or stucco reliefs and made use of colorful stone mosaics..

In Zmö Hërot Ner the utterance of expletives is impossible within city limits. This has changed as the limits have changed, but has not kept up with slang, or swearing in foreign languages.
